THE ROLE
The Vice President, Advisory Services will be responsible for building out PBGH’s consulting services, solutions and products for members (employers and purchasers) and non-member employers in the health benefits arena and in support of PBGH’s strategic priorities. This position requires understanding of the entire health benefit ecosystem including employer’s full H&W consulting lifecycle, carrier and point-solutions, and consulting & brokerage landscape. It requires a growth and strategic mindset to understand employers’ needs, generate demand and deliver on client engagements. This individual has deep and well-established relationships with employers and the health markets, can influence and drive change, collaborates across multi-stakeholders and has executive presence and credibility. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Services, Solutions and Product Roadmap
Builds out tools, resources and infrastructure to operationalize and scale current scope of services.
Builds out all aspects of data analytic and solutions product roadmap leveraging novel datasets (Transparency in Coverage and Hospital Price Transparency), quality metrics and employer’s self-funded claims data.
Develops a growth strategy including sales and marketing plan and effective customer service model.
Creates knowledge base for continued intellectual capital development, resources and tools.
Lead Engagements
Generates demand, writes proposals, closes the sale, completes contracting and delivers on the engagement for high impact results.
Leads and manages customer relationships, creates all advisory work products, develops work plan and manages projects from beginning to end.
Collaborates with teams for lead generation and execution.
Creates knowledge based for a cohesive database of health and benefits information for IC build.
Growth and Sales
Supports and leads technical learning opportunities for members.
Generates leads and revenue through sales and marketing activities.
Synthesizes funder requirements and communicate to project team.
Integrates funder requirements into project plans and prepare reports to funder.
Tracks contract milestones, ensuring all deliverables are met.
Develops and tracks execution of statements of work for subcontractors, including budgets and milestones.
In partnership with PBGH finance team, tracks and manages AR/AP systems and documentation, contract development and tracking and submission of program expense reimbursements and payments.
Communications
Collaborates with marketing and communications team to articulate the value proposition to engage customers.
Establishes and maintains communications with external and internal project team members, including status updates via email, phone and in-person.
Collaborates with communications team to implement communications strategies designed to further initiative objectives.
Manages stakeholder database and communications tools and ensure data integrity of enterprise management software (Salesforce) for initiatives.
Leadership
Models PBGH values and contributes to its organizational health and its customer and employer brand promise.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 15 years’ experience in working for a consulting or brokerage firm serving Fortune 500 companies as clients advising on a full range of health and benefits strategy and topics.
Actuarial designation, either Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, ASA or FSA working with large health databases is an added plus.
Executive presence and credibility with sophisticated clients and customers, carriers, health solutions and consulting/broker firms to lead, influence and affect change.
Demonstrated experience and deep business acumen to build ideas and solutions from the ground up to grow and scale to be used by employers to better manage their programs.
Demonstrated experience with growth, growing ideas, IC, clients, people, sales and revenue growth.
Demonstrated experience working with employer’s claims, utilization and clinical data and reporting, large health datasets and working with third party data warehouses.
Technical expertise and depth in all aspects health benefits areas including but not limited to financial and actuarial models, data and data analytics/solutions, employers’ claims data, design strategies, vendor evaluations, benefit & health strategic framework, reporting & measurement, compliance, ERISA, CAA, PBMs, mental health, wellbeing, point solutions, etc.
Mastery of and demonstrated ability to solve Fortune 500 companies’ complex health & benefits issues.
Mastery of and demonstrated ability to build, continuously adapt and communicate project plan, including multiple work streams, key milestones, timelines and status.
Mastery of and modeling positive professional interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.
Demonstrated experience working with people at all levels of the organization and working/managing subcontractors.
Mastery of and strong, collaborative problem-solving skills; ability to see the big picture.
Self-starter, effective time management skills to handle the competing priorities of managing several projects and workstreams.
Proficiency with project management software (Asana, Jotform, etc); proficient user of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel 15 - 20%.
